MeteoModels (meteomodels.vercel.app) is a free weather forecast comparison tool. We take your privacy seriously and collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what data is used and why.
If you use the "My location" feature, your browser requests your GPS coordinates. These coordinates are used only to fetch weather data for your current position from third-party APIs (Open-Meteo, Nominatim). Your coordinates are never stored on our servers, never logged, and never shared with third parties beyond the weather API calls necessary to provide the service.
Location permission is always optional — you can search for any location manually instead.
The app makes requests to the following external services to retrieve weather and map data:
Each service has its own privacy policy. Requests to these services include your search query or coordinates as required to return relevant results.
This site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to show personalised ads based on your browsing behaviour.
Google may use the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings or aboutads.info.
MeteoModels stores a small amount of data in your browser's localStorage to remember your language preference and last searched location. This data never leaves your device.
No session cookies or tracking cookies are set by MeteoModels itself. Any cookies present are from Google AdSense (see above) or Google Fonts.
MeteoModels does not use Google Analytics or any other analytics platform. We do not track page views, session duration, or user behaviour.
We do not collect, store, or process any personally identifiable information (PII). There is no user registration, login, or account system.
The site is served over HTTPS. Server-side API proxy functions run on Vercel Edge infrastructure and do not log or store request parameters.
MeteoModels is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
